On November 2, 2004, while watching TV, Rachel and I began joking about leaving the U.S. - the joking turned into serious discussion, and after getting passports, the trip to New Zealand started to become a reality. This log chronicles our family adventure. The departure from our usual life began on June 29, 2005 with a flight to Puerto Rico with Rachel's family for her mother's 65th birthday. We're making the first entry to this blog on August 2nd. However, I'll use this entry to back fill some details from our trips to Puerto Rico and Hawaii. I'll also recall events from our first days in New Zealand. For now, here are a couple links to pictures we've published.
