On November 2, 2004, while watching TV, Rachel and I began joking about leaving the U.S. - the joking turned into serious discussion, and after getting passports, the trip to New Zealand started to become a reality. Because no trip to Rotorua is complete without enduring the stench of sulfur while looking at bubbling mud, we stopped at the aptly named Hell’s Gate.
